Prestige Barbershops in Ashland and Medford, Oregon, specialize in traditional barbering, along with many other short hair and beard services. We proudly offer services to ALL people and want everyone in our shop to feel welcome and appreciated. Who we are looking for
We seek individuals — new and experienced — who are passionate about the hair industry and especially love working with short hair. Specialty barber services, including short hair scissor cuts, fades, beard trims and shaves, are fundamental for our shop. We primarily serve clients looking for short hair services — 95% of our business. A professional, positive, self-motivated demeanor, experience in customer service and ability to work on a team are qualities among our preferred staff.
Employment details
All staff are independent contractors (1099), paid a competitive commission structure. Average earnings for our full-time workers are approximately $50,000/year. Commission is dependent on experience and ranges from 50-65%. As an independent contractor, you have the freedom to create your own schedule, hours (within shop operating hours) and custom menu of services you provide. Pay periods are biweekly on the 5th and 20th of every month and come with a detailed report of all services performed, including tips. All back-bar products are provided by Prestige Barbershop; barbers must provide all their personal tools and supplies.
